A glorious Wiltshire Wedding full of handmade details, friends and family and beautiful soft light.

If you love natural, relaxed weddings, this gorgeous celebration at The Ridgeway Barns, Wiltshire is the perfect inspiration. The whole day was built around personal touches: the bride grew and arranged all the flowers, made and styled the décor and filled every corner with things that actually meant something to both of them. It was relaxed, calm and fun day, a wedding documentary style photographers dream.

Getting Ready at The Barns

The beauty of a wedding at the Ridgeway Barns is you can have your whole day on one site, no rushing between locations, no timelines, no hiring coaches and the bride and her party got ready in The Old Stables, a private stand alone barn at the back of the main building. As a photographer, this is one of my favourite parts of the day, capturing moments between the bride, the groom, and their people, pausing and taking time to be together before the celebrations start.

Beautiful Flowers

The whole day was beautiful but the flowers were unbelievable, seasonal, gorgeous, and totally personal. I made sure I was there early enough to take plenty of flowers so the Bride would have photographs to look back on of her beautiful work!

A Dream Venue in the Wiltshire Countryside

Ridgeway Barns is a wonderful venue, think rolling fields, open skies, and a mix of rustic barns tucked into nature. The staff that work there are all lovely, and walk the line perfectly between being around when needed and blending into the background.

Why I Loved Photographing This Wedding

When a couple designs their day around what they love to do, rather than what tradition tells them to do, it shows in every frame. My approach is simple: no forced poses, no awkward staging, just real moments. This wedding had them everywhere. It was fun, relaxed and beautiful.
